One-Time Opportunities
Exactly how can a small staff impact over 30,000 clients in need each year? Well,
simply put, they don't. Most services at Christian Community Service Center are
effectively performed by volunteers. In fact, over 2,300 volunteers contributed
to our mission in 2009! Students, retirees, stay-at-home mothers, working professionals
. . . there is a place at CCSC for everyone.
|
"Each of you has been blessed with one of God?s many wonderful gifts to be used in the service of others. So use your gift well." - 1 Peter 4:10
|
There are a variety of jobs at CCSC. Some positions are team-oriented while others are more independent. Many volunteer opportunities involve direct client services; others focus on fundraising or administration. Some jobs require an on-going involvement, while different ones can be seasonal or occasional. View the list of volunteer opportunities below.
THE FIRST STEP
All potential volunteers need to contact our Resource Development Coordinator,
Clare Bruce, at 713.961.3993 ext. 211 or cbruce@ccschouston.com.
She can answer your questions, explore your interests and review current CCSC
opportunities. Most volunteers find that it helps to schedule a 30-45 minute tour/orientation
? we can arrange a time that is convenient for you!
